Gosh! It feels so good to say that out loud!!! Although we still havent got over the pandemic, but things are looking better than ever with the vaccine! But all things considered, arent we all happy that 2020 is finally over!!
And what a year it has been!!
The start of the year looked promising, only to be followed by the world wide pandemic and the months long lockdown! Societal interaction stopped and we questioned every mode of exisitence. But apart from all the negative side of the pandemic, there were a lot many amazingly positives things that happened which made it all bareable!
First off, I was able to publish quite a few designs, worked on a few collaborations, and made plenty of test projects!
Second and One of the best things that ever happened, was our weekly zoom calls with maker friends from Mumbai Ravelers group! 2020 would have been a disaster without all you girls!!
Third, a proud moment for me when I was one of the guest designers for the Second Edition of Indesco – An Indian Designers Collaboration and released one of my toughest patterns till date! The PRAKRUTI Shawl!
Lastly, I am honoured and absolutely happy, to be a part of the IYC Team and see it evolve from just an idea to a community now growing big and strong!
So here is the List of my designs from 2020:
- The Hearts of Love Blanket – Free Pattern with tutorial on my Blog.
2. Not so Basic Purse – Tunisian Crochet pattern.
3. Linen and Lace tote – Free Pattern in collaboration with Pineapple and Pine.
4. The JuJu Scarf – My first Crochet along in collaboration with IndiaYarnCirlce and Anchor Crafts.
5. The Prakruti Shawl – Designed under the theme of monsoon for the second Edition of Indesco.
6. Amber Beany – which has a Stitch Tutorial by yours truly on Desamour Designs blog.
7. And lastly The Moringa Wrap – a very unique take on using a textured, thick and thin yarn, for a drapey light shawl perfect for our weather.
2021 seems a lot more hopeful and hoping it will be a great year for Stringtierey and Me! i have a whole of of designs and collabs lined up for this year and I hope you guys will continue to support and motivate me on my journey!
